I have to admit, I love the challenge of commission work. Not only do I get to spend my days doing what I love, I always get to meet some truly interesting characters.
I always strive to capture a realistic likeness of my subject, not only in physical appearance, but also their personality. I work closely with my patrons through the process, developing concepts for all aspects of the work. After taking the time to get to know the subject and once I have a sense of what needs to be captured in the painting, I take a series of reference photographs. From these photographs, I work with the patron and develop the best possible composition. I then proceed with the final piece.
If you wish to discuss having a painting of your own, please feel free to send me an email and we can discuss what you are interested in.
